Käyttäjät

Henkilökunta, opiskelijat, tutkijat, ulkoistettu henkilökunta tuottaessaan palveluita konsortion jäsenelle ja eläköityneet tutkijat ja henkilökunta (mikäli he ovat ylittäneet Suomen eläköitymisiän ja säilyttävät asemansa tutkijoina/henkilökuntana). Organisaation kirjaston paikallisasiakkaat voivat käyttää aineistoa vain tilaajaorganisaation fyysisissä tiloissa, mutta ei etäkäyttönä.

Sallittu käyttö

Aineistoa saa käyttää opiskelu-, opetus- ja tutkimustarkoituksiin sekä tutkimuksen arviointiin:
- selailla ja tehdä tiedonhakuja
- tulostaa ja tallentaa elektronisesti haun tuloksia. Tiedonhaun tuloksia voi antaa toisille auktorisoiduille käyttäjille paperille tulostettuina tai elektronisesti (sisältäen ilmoitustaulut sekä sähköpostilistat, joiden osallistujilla on aineiston käyttöoikeus)
- yksittäisten tiedonhaun tuloksien levittäminen konsortion ulkopuolelle on sallittu ainoastaan palvelun kuvailemis- tai esittelemistarkoituksessa sekä ei-kaupalliseen tutkimustarkoitukseen ja tieteelliseen kommunikointiin sekä käytettäväksi keskusteluryhmässä, mutta konsortion ulkopuoliset eivät saa julkaista haun tuloksia omilla tai organisaation verkkosivuilla
- osia aineistosta saa käyttää painetuissa tai elektronisissa kurssipaketeissa omaan opetuskäyttöön. Kurssimateriaalin tulee sisältää asianmukaiset tekijä- ja lähdeviitteet (artikkelin/julkaisun nimeke, tekijä, kustantaja). Näkövammaisille voi tehdä ei-elektronisessa, ei-painetussa muodossa olevia kurssipaketteja (esim. Braille).
- vähäisiä määriä aineistosta voi esitellä julkisesti osana esitystä seminaarissa, konferenssissa, workshopissa tms. Vähäinen määrä aineistoa tarkoittaa määrää, jolla ei ole itsenäistä kaupallista arvoa ja/tai joka ei korvaa mitään tietokantaa tai huomattavaa osaa Clarivaten ylläpitämistä tietokannoista.

Kielletty käyttö

- Kopioida tai monistaa tietokantoja, tehdä niistä käännöksiä tai millään muulla tavalla luoda niistä johdannaistuotteita
- levittää tai tarjota tietokantoja miltään osin ja missään muodossa konsortion ulkopuolisten käyttöön
- käsitellä lähdekoodia tai data algoritmejä ja muita tietoja joihin ei ole sopimuksen puitteissa pääsyä
- luoda tai muokata tietokannoista ja niissä käytetystä teknologiasta tai niiden osista uusia vastaavia tuotteita tai palveluja
- muuttaa tai poistaa tuotemerkkejä ja -nimiä tai tekijänoikeusmerkintöjä
- julkaista tai muuten levittää tiedonhaun tuloksia kaupallisessa tai myyntitarkoituksessa

Etäkäyttö

Aineiston etäkäyttö on mahdollista kirjoittautumalla oman organisaation verkkoon. Kirjaston paikallisasiakkailla ei ole etäkäyttöoikeutta.

Authorised users

The faculty, students, researchers, staff, contractors of the Client and outsourced faculty and/or staff in their performance of services for and on behalf of the Client only, and retired members of faculty and researchers (provided they are of Finnish retirement age and retain an affiliation with Client) of that Client. Users also means walk-in patrons of the Client. Walk-In patrons may not be given means to access the Database when they are not within the physical premises of the Client.

Permitted use

For educational purposes, Research evaluation:
- viewing the Databases and Data for the purpose of performing Searches;
- printing, electronically save, and distributing (in any form, including, but not limited to, printed, electronically relayed, posted to User-restricted list services or User-restricted bulletin boards, or magnetically stored) Search Results or Data, in whole or in part, provided that Users will not distribute or otherwise provide the Search Results, Data or the Databases, in whole or in part, to anyone not a User
- distributing Data or the Search Results to third parties as incidental samples for illustrative or demonstration purposes and for the purposes of non- commercial scientific research and communication or to be used for the basis of discussion groups only sharing in this manner with non-authorized users shall be incidental to such permitted purposes and not for re-transmission posting on personal or institutional websites;
- incorporating parts of the Databases or Data or the Search results in printed or electronic course packs for the use of Users in the course of instruction; each such item shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, listing title and author of extract, title and author of work, and publisher; course packs in non-electronic non-print perceptible form, such as audio or Braille, may also be offered to Users who, in the reasonable opinion of the Client, are reading impaired;
- publicly displaying or publicly performing insubstantial parts of the Databases or Data as part of a presentation at a seminar, conference, or workshop, or other such similar activity. Examples of an “insubstantial parts” of a Database or Data include an amount of the Database or Data which: ( i) on its own has no independent commercial value as an independent product or work; (ii) could not be used by the recipient as a substitute for any database (or a substantial part of it) provided by Clarivate or its Affiliates.

Prohibited use

- copy, duplicate, reproduce, translate into any language, or in any way reproduce any part of the Products
- distribute or transfer the Products, or any portion thereof, in any form (printed, electronically relayed, posted to public list services or bulletin boards, or magnetically stored)
- access the source code, data algorithms or other aspects of the Products that are not displayed to Users in their authorized use of the Products;
- reverse engineer, de-compile, translate, modify, distribute, broadcast, disseminate or create derivative works from the Products or otherwise use the Products (or any portion or derivation thereof) in any product or service;
- alter, obscure, remove, interfere with or add to any of the trade marks, trade names, markings or notices, including, but not limited to, copyright notices, affixed to or contained in the Products or any Updates included at the time such Updates are delivered to a Client;
- publish or otherwise disseminate Search Results for Commercial use or sale.

Remote access

Remote access is permitted for the faculty, students, researchers, staff, contractors and outsourced faculty and/or staff and retired members of faculty of the Client. Remote access to the Database by members of the public (walk-in patrons) is not permitted.
