The book history collection contains the monographs of the Fennica literature of the Swedish era nearly in its entirety, book history and its research related works, and material about education and children’s literature from the 1600s. Within book history bibliographies, book auction lists, library catalogues and a set of assorted book history materials have been digitized, for example samples of letter types. Within education the main focus is on the 18th – 19th century Christian education – ABC-books, Sunday school publications, Biblical histories and catechisms. The children’s literature contains profane literature and various religious tracts for children, which at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century were abundantly published by many societies and associations.
