Due to third-party copyrights and contract arrangements, the metadata in the interface do not represent the total metadata offered in the Finna.fi service. The metadata of Helka libraries are not provided through the API. The metadata of Fennica, Viola and Arto databases are however provided through the API even though the provider of these databases, the National Library, is one of the Helka libraries. The CC0 licence does not pertain to metadata which are not provided through the API.

The metadata provided through the interface are licensed under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication and are freely available. The National Library’s Library Network Services recommendsIt is recommended, however, that the source of the data, i.e. the Finna.fi service, be mentioned when using the data, as well as the organisations which produced the data.
